OnePlus 13 may launch in India soon: India price, specs, and all we may already know

The OnePlus 13 has just made its debut in China as the first-ever phone featuring the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. With its initial release wrapped up, all eyes are now on OnePlus’s announcement for the global launch, including in India. Expected to arrive in early 2025, possibly in January, the OnePlus 13 is already generating excitement for its international variants, given that the Chinese version features significant upgrades from its predecessor, the OnePlus 12. These impressive specifications are likely to carry over to the global variants as well.
Let’s take a closer look at what the OnePlus 13 offers in China and what Indian buyers can expect in terms of specifications, features, and pricing.
This year, OnePlus has moved away from the signature curves seen in the OnePlus 12 and previous models, opting for a new quad-curved design on the OnePlus 13. The updated display design leans towards a flatter look with subtle contouring around the edges, making it slightly more compact than its predecessor despite retaining a sizable 6.82-inch screen.
The display of the OnePlus 13 features BOE’s X2 OLED panel with an 8T LTPO configuration, a 1440p resolution, and a variable refresh rate reaching up to 120 Hz. The display can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, promising excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. The new flagship by OnePlus also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner integrated into the screen, offering secure and quick access.
Another standout feature of the OnePlus 13 is its advanced vibration motor, which OnePlus claims is designed to provide gaming controller-level feedback, adding an immersive element for users seeking a premium flagship for gaming and daily use. Additionally, the OnePlus 13 boasts a new IP69 rating, offering enhanced water and dust resistance compared to the IP68 standard.
Once again, OnePlus has prioritised its camera system, equipping the OnePlus 13 with a triple camera setup co-engineered with Hasselblad. This setup features three 50-megapixel sensors for versatile shooting options. The main camera uses Sony’s LYT-808 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), while the 3x periscope lens, equipped with the LYT-600 sensor, offers an equivalent focal length of 73mm for portraits and zoomed-in shots. There’s also a 15mm ultra-wide camera that doubles as a macro lens, thanks to Samsung’s S5KJN5 sensor. On the front, the OnePlus 13 features a 32-megapixel camera designed for clear and detailed selfies.
Powering the OnePlus 13 is a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting both 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. In China, the OnePlus 13 runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, while in global markets, including India, it is expected to ship with OxygenOS 15.
In China, the OnePlus 13 is available in multiple variants: a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant for CNY 4,499 (around Rs 53,100), a 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant for CNY 4,899 (around Rs 57,900), a 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant for CNY 5,299 (around Rs 62,600), and a 24GB RAM + 1TB storage variant priced at CNY 5,999 (around Rs 70,900).
Following the Chinese pricing, it is anticipated that OnePlus will bring similar pricing to the Indian market, with the base model likely starting around Rs 53,000. This would position the OnePlus 13 as a competitive flagship choice.
